Dorset is still one of the safest places in the country in which to live, with one of the lowest crime rates in the country.  However, your village needs you to support the Home Watch and local policing, to ensure West Moors remains a safe place to be

Neighbourhood Watch/Home Watch is the best known and most effective way of keeping your home secure.  For most people, having a neighbour keeping an eye on their home is better than an alarm system.  Home Watch helps to create a community spirit.

You will receive advice on securing your home, protecting your property and get regular crime updates.

  Neighbourhood Policing Team

West Moors has a thriving Home Watch and membership is open to all adult residents covered by the Neighbourhood Policing Team

A minimum annual subscription of only £1 per member (2018/19) within a household is charged.  This amount is collected by some 80 Road Co-ordinators/contacts spread around the village.

We are always looking for new Road Co-ordinators, so if you think you could help make West Moors a safer place, then please contact us..
